After that, we had to present our games to the audience. We showed the clapping game, which brought joy, fun and excitement to all those who played it. The game is played between a pair of students, who clap their hands to the rhyme of the song, in a sequence of clapping with forehand followed by back hand. The speed of clapping increases alongside the speed of the song.

Once our girls demonstrated, everyone wanted to join in, including the teachers.

This was followed by our next game, “sticky toffee”. This starts with all players holding the hands forward, touching their fingers and once the song stops, they have to run until someone touches a player.

This was followed by our next game – “bulldog”. To play this game you need two walls 20 feet apart and all players have to line up near one wall. One player is in between the two walls and is called “bulldog” and when he shouts “bulldog” all the players have to run from one wall to another. While they are running they need to keep away from the “bulldog”, who tries to catch someone. If the “bulldog” touches someone, they are the loser and leave the game.

The games and the excitement was not only witnessed by students, teachers and visitors but also Turkish airline passengers, as they took off from Istanbul airport, which is only few minutes away from the school.
